A Poem

JANUARY 2023
Like many unskilled enthusiasts, I am fond of dabbling regardless of quality. This poem was written to mark the establishment of VERVE Education. It is nothing other than a silly ditty that places the joy of exploration, the thrill of experimentation, the zest of risk-taking at the heart of educational life. Be many things - be kind, be considerate, be accident-prone - but above all, don't be dull.

The teacher knows it's their preserve

To cherish, treasure and conserve

The gift that learners all deserve:

Exploring every contour, curve,

Form, shape and pattern things observe.

Leaders devote themselves and serve

Provoke, inspire and touch a nerve

And give to learning zest and verve.
